(2016)<\/a><\/i><\/p>\n<p>The common misunderstanding about online learning being \u201cteacher-less\u201d likely stems from the false belief that students may never see or hear the teacher.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Berge &amp; Clark (2009)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;A systemic shift in pedagogy from the \u201ccontent + discussion + assignment model\u201d (Janssens-Bevernage, 2015) has yet to happen.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">DeWaard, H., in Kilgore, W. (2016)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Perhaps the single most effective online classroom intervention for nontraditional students is to heighten the sense of the instructor\u2019s presence in the course.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Barnes, C.
