Online learning and teaching comes in a variety of shapes, sizes, forms, and tastes. As diverse as online learning can be, similar to classroom teaching, there are key ingredients any instructor can include to foster an interactive learning environment for themselves and their students. The purpose of this session is to introduce a few base ingredients to infuse interaction in online courses. Whether you’ve taught online a little, or a lot, there will be something for everyone who teaches online in this session.
There are of course many ways to create an interactive online course, and using all kinds of different tools. This presentation will focus on strategies that tend to be simpler to implement and not so much on specific tools.
